Proteasoft is the studio of Daniel Lascelles in Larnaca.
More than ten years of building websites and software.
I started writing code when Windows 95 was still new, first in Visual Basic and C. For a long time it stayed a hobby, and Warcraft 2 took a lot more hours than the programming.
Proteasoft came much later, over a decade ago, when I began building websites and software for clients across Cyprus.
Greek is my first language and English followed. I speak both fluently, so we can work in whichever suits you.
My clients have included psychotherapists, food producers, beauty salons, parking operators, and a lot of small retailers. They're mostly small businesses and solo practitioners, where the site has to fit their daily work.
Why one person.
Knowledge is the expensive part of software. Most of a project's cost over its life comes from people who re-learn what is already known. Someone leaves, and the next person spends weeks reading code and asking questions that were answered two years ago. Every time the work changes hands, that cost multiplies.
The person who reads your first email is the same one who writes the code, delivers it, and is still checking it three years later. Nothing has to be re-explained. The cost of changes stays low.
It also means that the person you meet is the person who does the work. In larger studios, the senior person who defines the scope of a project usually isn't the one who builds it. The work goes to whoever is available. That person can be a junior developer or an intern. Here, that one person is me, with over ten years of experience building websites, e-shops, and custom software for small businesses and solo practitioners.
Every working model has trade-offs. I would rather do fewer projects well than more projects that I don't fully understand. Some projects need a bigger team, or expertise outside my tools, and those aren't for me. For projects that do fit, things move quickly.

Everything I build is yours, the code, the content, and the domain. I build on open platforms. Your domain stays registered in your name.

Always the same person.
You talk only with me. I run your whole project, from start to finish.

Realistic scope and timelines.
Before you commit, you learn exactly what your budget and timeline can realistically cover. If you change something midway, I'll price the change before we continue. If the project is going to be late, you find out while there's still time to do something about it.

Proven tools.
The tools that I use are WordPress, WooCommerce, C#/.NET, and mainstream AI APIs. None of them is exotic. Each has a big community and rich documentation. I pick tools that last, so that the code you pay for still runs even after five years.
People I work with.
For work outside my own scope, I have collaborators in Cyprus that I trust and refer clients to, like photographers, graphic designers, business development consultants, branding specialists, and lawyers for GDPR or legal compliance. You can hire them directly. I don't charge a coordination fee or take a referral commission.
