1. Who runs this site
Proteasoft is the studio of Daniel Lascelles, trading under the registered business name D.L. Proteasoft, based in Larnaca, Cyprus. You can reach me at info@proteasoft.com.
These terms cover visiting and reading this website. They aren't the terms of any project. If you hire me, the Terms of Business apply instead, together with your quote.
2. What you can do with what's here
Read it, print it, share a link to it, and quote a short passage with credit and a link back. That's what it's here for.
The writing, the design, the code, the photographs, and the project work shown on this site belong to me, or to the clients who own them. So please don't republish whole articles, present the work as your own, resell it, or copy the site's design or code for another project.
3. Automated collection and AI training
Scraping this site, or using its content for text and data mining or to train machine learning models, isn't permitted. I reserve those rights expressly, as EU copyright law allows a rightsholder to do. If you want to use something for research or for a model, ask me.
4. The articles are information, not advice
I write about websites, security, hosting, and running a small business online. It's general information, written for a general audience, and it can't take your situation into account. Acting on it is your decision. For anything that matters, get advice on your own circumstances, from me or from someone else who's qualified.
Things change, particularly in security and in software. An article that was accurate when I wrote it may not be accurate today.
5. Availability and accuracy
I keep this site running and correct as well as I can, but I don't promise that it will always be available or always free of errors. I can change or remove anything on it at any time. If you find a mistake, tell me and I'll fix it.
6. Links to other sites
Some pages link to other people's sites. I link to things I find useful, but I don't control them and I'm not responsible for what they contain or for what they do with your data. Their terms and privacy policies are their own.
7. Your privacy
What this site collects, and what it doesn't, is set out in the privacy policy. The short version: no tracking, no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics.
8. Liability
This site is free to read, and I provide it as it is. As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss that follows from using it or from relying on what's on it. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow me to limit.
9. Governing law and language
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus. They're published in English and in Greek; if the two versions ever disagree, the English version prevails.

I update this page from time to time, with the version date at the top. If anything here is unclear, send me a message and I'll explain.
