Custom software and AI tooling in Cyprus.

Most small businesses and practices run on a few standard programs, like the accounting software and the calendar, and those do their jobs well. The time is lost between them. Someone copies numbers from one program into another by hand, or keeps a spreadsheet for the things that none of the programs tracks. Custom software is for that gap.

Every project is different. Its shape depends on what you actually do and on where the time is spent.

Solo practitioners

Client management first. A solo practitioner, like a psychologist, dietitian, lawyer, or accountant, usually needs client management with scheduling, and automated invoicing. Often there's also something specific to the field, like the calculators or assessment tools that the practice uses daily.

Small businesses

One weekly view. A small business usually needs something more. Often that is one page that shows the week's numbers from the accounts and the sales together, so that nobody collects them by hand every Monday. It can also be a screen for the one job that takes too many clicks in your existing programs. When the paperwork justifies it, a tool produces the contracts and invoices from the details that you already have.

How it's built

Where it runs. Most of these tools run in the browser, which means you can use them from any computer or phone. When the records are confidential, like patient notes or legal files, I sometimes build a program that is installed on your own computer instead. The data then never leaves it. I write both in C# and .NET, which are widely used, so another developer could take over if you ever needed one. The exception is a tool that belongs inside your website, which I build as a WordPress plugin.

AI tooling

Documents into data. Most of the AI tools that I build read paperwork. An invoice or a contract arrives as a PDF, and the tool finds the dates, the amounts and the names and puts them where they belong. Nobody retypes them. People also ask me for two other things. One is search across your own documents, where you ask a question in plain words and get the answer with the file that it came from. The other is drafting, where the tool writes the first version of a routine letter or report from the details that you give it, so that you correct a draft instead of starting from a blank page. All of it uses the same AI models that power Claude and ChatGPT. It sits inside the tool that you already use, which means there is nothing extra to open.

What you own

The code is yours. Whichever tools I use, the code is yours. The source code is delivered and ready to run on infrastructure that I don't control. Worth saying though: custom software isn't always the right answer. If a standard tool already covers 90% of what you need and you can live without the last 10%, building something from scratch probably isn't worth it.
